Dr. Julia Daniely

DanielyDr. Julia Mitcham Daniely is a native Maconite and a product of the Bibb County School District. Her parents are the late Wilbur Mitcham aka "Chef" and Annie Mae Mitcham, and Dr. Daniely has 12 other siblings who have performed successfully in their careers and all have higher education degrees. She has been married to Vincent Daniely for 18 years and they have two children, Kiara and Erika, and one grandson, Javaris Jr. Understanding her call to teach and educate children, she pursued the field of education, graduating from Georgia College with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Middle Grades Education in 1994. In August of 1995, she received her Master of Education degree in Middle Grades Education: Math and Science from Fort Valley State University. Continuing to be a professional learner, she was compelled to enroll in a specialist and doctoral program. In February 2007, she completed her specialist and doctoral studies in Educational Leadership at Nova Southeastern University.

Candice Johnson
Academy On-Site Mentor

JohnsonCandice Johnson is a Lowndes County High School alumni, from Valdosta Georgia.  She attended Brewton-Parker College, where she received her Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education.  She has worked in the traditional classroom setting in two separate school districts.  5 years in Vidalia City Schools where she was named Teacher of the Year and 3 years in Bibb County Schools where she was also named Teacher of the Year.  She also has 5 years of virtual school experience in Bibb County School District.  She has worked with SOAR Academy in the PLC Department focusing on Credit Recovery for at risk students in middle and high school.  Her goals in life are to focus on being influential and bringing about change wherever she may go.  She considers it a privilege and an honor to mentor students and be apart of a vital chapter in their lives.
