Assistant Principal

Greetings VIP Academy Family!

It is my honor to be serving you this year as your Assistant Principal here at VIP Academy. I have been in education for 20 years, with all of my time having been here in Bibb County. I began my career teaching science, first at Hutchings Career Center and then at Westside High School. In 2017, I left Westside to become the academic coach at Rutland Middle School. After serving at Rutland Middle School for four years, I had the honor of becoming an Assistant Principal, first at Central High School and then back at Rutland Middle School. Now that VIP Academy has expanded and needs a dedicated administrative team, it is my great pleasure to be serving as Assistant Principal here. Throughout my years I have served as a Teacher Support Coach (TSC), Getting Better Faster (GBF) mentor, Project Lead the Way teacher, STEM coordinator, and even have spent a number of years as the voice of the Westside Seminole football team.

My own educational pursuits have taken me over a large portion of Alabama and Georgia. I received my Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology from the University of North Alabama. I then received a Master of Education in Secondary Education from Georgia College and State University. I completed my educational pursuits by completing a Doctorate of Education in Curriculum Studies at Georgia Southern University. I completed my Leadership certification through MGRESA.

I am the proud husband to Jessica and proud father to Carys. I am a member of Ingleside Baptist Church in Macon and frequently coach softball for Vine-Ingle.

I am committed to helping students achieve their very best and I look forward to seeing each and every student shine as they learn, grow, and prepare for their future. Every student can learn and become the very best version of him or herself, and I look forward to assisting every student as they seek to become the best!
