Academy On-Site Mentor/Onboarding Specialist

Brandi Burgess graduated from high school in Daytona Beach, Florida, and as a proud Georgia native, she returned to complete her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Mercer University. She furthered her education by earning a Master's Degree in Reading Instruction from Nova Southeastern University.

With 20 years of experience as an educator, Mrs. Burgess has dedicated the majority of her career to Houston County. She has taught Reading in the PLC Program at SOAR Academy, served as an Elementary Teacher and Mentor at VIP Academy, and currently holds the position of VIP Program Lead Mentor and Enrollment Specialist.

Mrs. Burgess is passionate about teaching Reading and Writing, solving problems, and empowering families to thrive as virtual school learning coaches and scholars. She attributes her success to her mother's strong work ethic, her husband Derek's unwavering support, and the patience and understanding of her daughters, Hanna and Emily. Above all, she credits her achievements to the Lord Jesus Christ for the gifts He has entrusted her to share with others.
